i wonder, what's drawing with vine charcoal like? i mean... what are the benefits in your opinion? i've never liked them much, but really haven't spent a lot of time working with it either...

Using Vine first works for me cuz i can pretty get messy and erase it away easier than if i started using the conpressed first. you cant get very dark with the vine, well you can you just really had to work at it. and then with the compressed, every little mark is going to show up and it's hard to take it away. which is why i used it last.
i like charcoal, it just makes things look more dramatic than a pencil drawing, but pencil is cool too...
